HonuScuba, LLC, offers comprehensive instruction that includes an online course and recreational diving classes. What You Need to Do

You are required to pass the online course before you advance to the swimming portion. Before you start swimming, you must also submit a medical questionnaire by email. We recommend that you also keep a hard copy for your records. If you answer "yes" to any question, you must submit a note from your doctor that says you are approved to dive.

Classes for Everyone

We offer recreational diving classes from beginner to dive master. The first course is open water that includes online sessions that must be completed before open water training begins, followed by 1-2 days of confined water training, and then 4 open water diving sessions over a period of 2 days, during which you will dive from 20 to 40 feet. This course can be completed within 2 or 3 days.

Discovery Scuba Diving - $160

Sign up for an unbelievable PADI diving experience. View the gorgeous views under water. You must be at least 10 years old, and no prior scuba diving experience is necessary.

Open Water (Beginner) - $400

Learn the basics of scuba diving from us. The fee includes all the gear required for the class. This class includes the eLearning (10-12 hours) classroom portion completed in the privacy of your home. Confined water is one-two days, and open water is 2 days (4 dives). This class teaches you basic skills, basics of equipment, emergency procedures, and dive theory. This course allows you to dive to 60 feet, rent equipment, go diving, and book dives on vacation.

Diving Class

Advanced Open Water - $380

The advanced open water course is a continuation from the open water course that concentrates on achieving dive experience and building/fine tuning your diving skills. The course includes all study material, classroom instruction, processing fees, equipment, and an experience you will never forget. The advanced class starts with online classroom instruction followed by confined water diving and then 6 open water dives spread over 2 days, which will allow you to dive to 100 feet. 

Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care (CPR and First Aid) training within the past 24 months.
You can complete this training during the Rescue Diver course.

PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider - $125

Knowing how and when to use emergency oxygen is a great skill to have and means you're ready to help others should the need arise. Becoming a PADI Emergency Oxygen Provider lets you breathe easy knowing that you can recognize scuba diving illnesses that are treatable with emergency oxygen and are prepared to offer aid.

Diving In a Sunken Ship

Rescue - $475

This is a 2 day course. The first part of rescue training is classroom instruction. This course teaches you how to rescue someone in distress, including how to get them to shore while giving them emergency first aid. You also learn how to contact emergency services.


  • Minimum age of 15 (12 for junior rescue course)
  • Rescue eLearning completed (HonuScuba will provide the codes required for the training and exams prior to open water diving.)
  • Completed Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care (CPR and First Aid) within the past two years
  • *Add EFR/CPR certification on the day prior or day of the Rescue Course for $99
  • 20 logged dives

Dive Master - $500

Enter the professional ranks by becoming a certified Dive Master with training from HonuScuba, LLC. This 2 week course includes books, classroom Instruction, confined water dives, and open water diving. You are required to have completed advanced open water and rescue prior to continuing to the Dive Master course.

Bubblemaker Course -  $39/child

Bubblemaker is as fun as it sounds – a chance for kids to blow bubbles by scuba diving. Children who are at least 8 years old can use scuba gear to breathe underwater and swim around in shallow water. Have a party or celebrate a birthday by throwing a memorable, exciting Bubblemaker event with friends.
